Man Arrested After Vehicle Chase Late Friday Night
ASHEBORO NC – A man is in jail today after he led sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase that ended in Montgomery County.
According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s office just after 11 PM on October 29th, 2021 they pulled over a driver just south of the Ulah Troy exit on I-73/74. Police say that as the deputy approached the vehicle, the driver sped off getting back onto I-73/74 heading south.A vehicle pursuit ensued, with speeds reading almost 100 mph according to law enforcement radio traffic. The driver took the Seagrove exit, where according to the Sheriff’s office he briefly stopped at the top of the exit ramp and a passenger fled on foot.
