ASHEBORO NC - Police are on the lookout for a man who escaped from a prison work detail, stole a dump truck and was last seen in Asheboro.
On October 21, 2021, the NC Department of Corrections put out an alert for for an escapee, Richard Alexander Mundy, left a work detail in Laurinburg, NC. Police say he stole a tan and grey 1994 Chevrolet 3500 dump truck. That vehicle has not been recovered yet.
