Two Airlifted After Head-On Crash on Hwy 49

ASHEBORO N.C. – Two people were airlifted after a on NC 49, near Oak Hollow Drive, early Saturday morning.
At 6:53 a.m. West-Side Fire & Rescue along with Ash-Rand Rescue, and Randolph County EMS were dispatched to NC 49, near Oak Hollow Drive for a two-vehicle accident.
First responders arrived to find a two-vehicle accident with multiple patients, including one patient who was pinned-in a vehicle.
The North Carolina Highway was notified and responded to investigate the crash. According to a press release, Tracy Bryant Hill, 35, of Asheboro N.C., was traveling northeast in a 2015 Toyota passenger car when she crossed the center line and collided with a 2018 Jeep SUV head-on.
