Armed Suspect Leads Police on High-Speed Chase
ASHEBORO N.C. - A High Point man is facing multiple felonies after hitting a patrol car during a high-speed chase.
According to a press release by the Asheboro Police Department, on Monday, March 22nd, 2021, just before 6 PM officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to the area of 281 Tremont Drive, for a call about a domestic disturbance.
Officers say when they arrived, they found Bradley Allen Byers armed with a handgun. Byers fled the scene in a blue Dodge pickup-truck.
Additional responding officers were able to locate Byers nearby and conducted a traffic stop. After pulling over, police say Byers got out of the vehicle armed with a handgun and refused to follow commands. Byers then re-entered his vehicle and sped-off, leading officers on a high-speed pursuit.
