Nearly Hour-Long Chase Across 2 Counties Leads to Arrest of Suspect

ASHEBORO N.C. - Off parole for less than three months, a 23-year-old suspect is again facing multiple felony gun, drug, and fleeing charges after leading police from two counties on a nearly hour long pursuit early Sunday morning. In the early morning hours of September 3rd, 2023, a deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s was patrolling on US Hwy 220 S, near Asheboro, when they spotted a motorcycle with no license plate that shut off its lights off and made a turn on Crestview Church Rd. Suspect in Stolen Vehicle Arrested After Vehicle Chase

ASHEBORO N.C. - A suspect in a stolen vehicle who led police on a brief chase last weekend found out making it to the front porch is not home base and was arrested. On June 18th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to High Pine Church Rd, in Asheboro, for a report of a stolen vehicle. A 911 caller was the victim and was following the stolen vehicle, providing police with a direction of travel. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, a deputy was able to intercept the vehicle as it ran a stop sign on High Pine Church Rd and continued onto Hopewell Friends Rd at a high rate of speed. Report of Woman Forced From Vehicle Leads To Chase & Crash

ASHEBORO N.C. - A woman is facing a slew of charges after police say she fled from them after they tried to pull her vehicle over to investigate a report of a female being forced out of a vehicle. In a press release this week the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says that on June 7, 2022, a deputy was in the area of Caraway Mtn. Rd, near Asheboro, conducting an investigation, when a driver approached to report seeing a female being forced out of a vehicle on Caraway Mtn. Road. Deputies located that female, who was observed exiting the vehicle earlier on Caraway Mtn. Rd., and transported her to an area hospital for evaluation. Overdose Call in Asheboro Leads To Vehicle Chase – Couple Arrested

ASHEBORO N.C. - What started as a call for a possible overdose in Asheboro ended with two people arrested, a gun seized, a stolen car recovered, all after a vehicle chase. On June 30, 2022 at around 6pm emergency crews and police were called to a possible overdose in the parking lot of the Randolph Mall. The 911 caller stated two subjects were slumped over inside a vehicle, which was parked in front of Belks. According to Assistant Chief of Police Robbie Brown with the Asheboro Police Department, officers arrived and located the vehicle.
