Irate Parent Arrested After Triggering Lockdown at School

ASHEBORO N.C. - Ramseur Elementary School was briefly placed on a modified lockdown Tuesday after an irate parent triggered a police response.
On January 10th, 2023, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office SRO responded after staff at Ramseur Elementary School reported an irate parent at the school.
While the SRO was responding, Randolph County 911 received a call where the caller claimed that someone had fired a weapon into the school.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the SRO arrived and parked in front of the door and was met by the irate parent, who they identified as Brittany Desha Andrews.
Andrews openly admitting that she was the one who called 911, but that no shooting had occurred.
