Fire Investigator (Acme News Archive) ASHEBORO — A Thomasville woman has turned herself in after being indicted in connection with two house fires that occurred in 2022. According to a press release, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was called to Jades Way in Thomasville on Aug. 29, 2022, to investigate two separate residential fires at the same location — one that day and another occurring two days earlier on Aug. 27. The Randolph County Fire Marshal’s Office notified the sheriff’s office that the fires were suspicious in nature. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office announced several charges against a local man related to an intentional fire set at a DMV office and deputies didn't have to go far to find him as he was already in jail accused of stealing a car. On November 24, 2022, at around 5 pm, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Office on US Hwy 220 Bus. S., Asheboro, after receiving a call about breaking & entering and larceny.
