Randolph Community College is hosting two Spring FAFSA Nights this month. The events will be held on Monday, March 13, from 4-7 p.m. at the Asheboro Campus in rooms 111 and 117 of the Business Education Center and on Wednesday, March 15, from 4-7 p.m. at the Archdale Center in rooms 321 and 322 of the Archdale Center. Students needing help completing their FAFSA for 2023-24 and planning to attend RCC or any other college or university should bring their 2021 W-2s and federal tax return (1040) for both parent(s) and student. ASHEBORO N.C. (RCC) — Since the retirement of longtime President Dr. Robert S. Shackleford Jr., Randolph Community College has been undergoing the extensive process that is a presidential search. Part of that process is gleaning opinions and ideas from the Randolph County community.  The Board of Trustees is inviting residents to complete a survey or participate in one of two forums. The input from the survey and forums will be utilized to build the RCC Presidential Profile.  The survey responses are anonymous, and the total responses will be aggregated and used in the College’s solicitation, review, and evaluation of applicants. Randolph Community College / Acme News Stock Image ASHEBORO NC - Randolph Community College will be conducting a drill of it emergency notification system tomorrow. The campus wide lockdown drill is planned for Thursday, October 14, between 12 PM and 4 PM for both the Asheboro and Archdale campuses. Messages sent to students and staff on campus, heard on loudspeakers, and received via RCC Alerts will NOT say test or drill. Everyone on campus at the time is requested to and follow all protocols and procedures for an active shooter / threat. Officials at the community college are requesting everyone be aware that the drill is only a test but that all alarms and alerts should be taken seriously and is requesting everyone be prepared to respond appropriately.

RCC Pays Off Student Account Balances

Photo Provided by: Randolph Community College ASHEBORO (Randolph Community College) — Randolph Community College recently gave approximately 200 students a fresh start by paying off outstanding debt, totaling nearly $113,000. Any student who was enrolled at the College between March 13, 2020 (the start of the COVID-19 pandemic) until the end of the Summer 2021 semester was eligible for the assistance. In addition to paying off outstanding student account balances, RCC has been able to help students through the pandemic by providing emergency financial assistance for such needs as food, housing, laptops, and internet access.
