ASHEBORO NC (ACME NEWS) - Police are investigating a shooting that occured in earlier this afternoon in Asheboro. Police, CSI, and detectives are actively investigating the scene of a shooting at the intersection of S McCrary St and Dixon Ave. According to an official with the Asheboro Police Department two males had an argument on Dixon Avenue in Asheboro after approaching each other on the street.  Police say one of the males produced a gun and fired multiple shots at the other.  The victim fled the scene and officers say they do not believe he was hit. Officers have a juvenile suspect detained and they say they are continuing to gather information.
