Suspect Who Gave Fake Name To Police & Judge Now Awaiting Extradition
ASHEBORO N.C. —A man wanted by the state of New York couldn’t seem to remember his name when asked by police or the judge. Now he’s in jail facing awaiting extradition.
On December 13, 2021, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office deputy pulled over a vehicle on US Highway 64 East in Ramseur. The driver gave police a fake name before being identified as Daniel Darnell Hunter. Deputies called officers with Ramseur Police Department to assist and when they searched the car police say they found marijuana and US currency. The subject was transported to the Randolph County Jail. There the suspects name of Daniel Darnell Hunter was linked to an alias of Julian Giavanni Johnson.
