No Serious Injuries after Multiple Accidents Closed I-73/74 Monday Night

According to a post by Westside Fire & Rescue on Facebook, at 5:44 p.m. on Monday, November 27th, 2023, emergency crews responded to assist Highway Patrol after debris fell off of a truck on Interstate 73/74 south, near Vision Drive. When the first units arrived, they located a four-vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of I-73/74 at Spero Rd with only minor injuries. According to Master Trooper Brian Martin, Troop D Public Information Officer with the Highway Patrol, the Collision Reconstruction Unit is on-scene investigating a previous fatal collision and requested assistance from the fire department to shut down the exit ramp (not the interstate) so that they could map the scene with a drone. 2 Children Killed, Mother Injured In Overnight Crash on I-73

ASHEBORO N.C. - Two children died, and a their mother was seriously injured overnight in a vehicle crash on I-73, north of Asheboro. Just before 1 a.m, on Monday May 30th 2022, first responders with Westside Fire Department and Randolph County EMS were dispatched to an unknown vehicle accident on I-73/74 northbound, at the Spero Rd exit. As dispatchers gathered more information they learned it was a single vehicle accident with two children severely injured. Dispatchers added an additional 2 ambulances as well as Ash-Rand Rescue, and notified Baptist Air Care.
