ASHEBORO N.C. - The City of Asheboro has announced they will be hosting Asheboro’s first Mariachi Festival on the first weekend in May. The festival is split across two days, with a paid concert featuring Latin GRAMMY-Winning female group Flor de Toloache on Friday May 5th at the Sunset Theater, followed by a free event Saturday May 6th at Bicentennial Park featuring local Mariachi bands from the Triad and Asheboro's own Ballet Folkloric Guadalupano. Friday Night Bluegrass presents “Just A Li’l Grace”

ASHEBORO N.C. – The City of Asheboro presents Friday Night Bluegrass with the return of Just a Li’l Grace to the historic Sunset Theatre on Friday, February 17th beginning at 7:00pm. Friday Night Bluegrass is a monthly program of the Sunset Theatre that presents local as well as regional bluegrass talent on the third Friday of every month. This month’s concert will feature Just A Li’l Grace, anacoustic band focusing on bluegrass gospel music. Based in Chatham County, the band consists of Doug Stuart on guitar, his wife Stacey Stuart on bass, Lenward Camp on banjo, and Eddie Ingram on mandolin. Each member brings over 30 years of various musical styles to the group. Tickets for this performance are $8.00 in advance or $10.00 at the door. There will be no will call available. Advanc...
