Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in 2014 Cold Case
ASHEBORO N.C. - On February 7th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office announced they had made an arrest in connection with the 2014 murder of Tammy Sellers Holland. Holland, who was found stabbed to death inside her home on October 28, 2014.
According to the information from the Sheriff's Office, on the day Holland’s body was discovered, a neighbor who had been attempting to contact Holland went to the residence after work to check on her in person. When Holland didn’t come to the door, the neighbor peered in the window and saw Holland in the living room and called 911.
According to the autopsy report released by the N.C. Medical Examiner’s office, Holland had been stabbed multiple times and succumbed to those injuries. Her death was ruled a homicide.
