Photo released by the Asheboro Police Department ASHEBORO N.C. – The Asheboro Police Department is asking for help from the public in identifying who suspects who they say used a traffic vest to steal two TVs from Wal-Mart. According to a report from the department on the afternoon of December 24th, 2023, an officer was called to the Asheboro Wal-Mart. A loss prevention officer told the officers that the day prior two unidentified black males had come into the store and taken two televisions without paying. In photos released on Facebook one of the suspects can be seen in a traffic vest pushing TVs in a car through the store. ASHEBORO NC - The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public's help in identifying two suspects in a daylight theft of a generator from a local business. On June 23, 2021, the Sheriff’s Office responded to James River Equipment on US HWY 64 E for a call about larceny. A white male had entered the store, picked up a Honda generator, then ran out of the business with it, before getting into a tan or gold hatchback / Chevrolet Equinox. That vehicle fled the parking lot and made a left onto US 64 and then another left on Presnell St. A white female was seen in the front passenger seat and a handicap placard was hanging from the rearview mirror. ASHEBORO N.C. - Three people were arrested last Wednesday in connection with the theft of catalytic converters in Asheboro. According to the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on June 16, 2021, deputies responded to Old Cox Rd., Asheboro, after receiving a call about a burglary. The victim said someone had attempted to cut the catalytic converter from his vehicle and was able to describe several suspicious vehicles seen in the area. While the deputies were on taking the report, a vehicle matching the description was seen passing by. A deputy was able to catch up with the vehicle and pull it over.
