Local Man Arrested After Threatening Police in Social Media Video
ASHEBORO N.C. — A local man was arrested last week after threating police in a live video posted to social media led to an investigation.
On March 26th, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault in progress on U.S. Hwy 64 East in Ramseur.
According to a press release, deputies encountered Dominick Lynn Sloan, who threatened to harm law enforcement with a weapon as they were returning to their vehicles, while livestreaming on social media.

Investigators were also able to obtain a search warrant for the property due to a protective order issued earlier in March which prevented Sloan from possessing firearms and ammunition.
