Photo released by the Asheboro Police Department ASHEBORO N.C. – The Asheboro Police Department is asking for help from the public in identifying who suspects who they say used a traffic vest to steal two TVs from Wal-Mart. According to a report from the department on the afternoon of December 24th, 2023, an officer was called to the Asheboro Wal-Mart. A loss prevention officer told the officers that the day prior two unidentified black males had come into the store and taken two televisions without paying. In photos released on Facebook one of the suspects can be seen in a traffic vest pushing TVs in a car through the store. ASHEBORO N.C. - This month the Randolph County Sheriff's Office will be conducting 'Operation School Supplies' to fill law enforcement vehicles with school supplies for local students. Here's what you need to know. Starting August 21st and running through 25th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office will be collecting school supplies in front of the Asheboro Walmart from 9 am – 1 pm each day. Donations of pencils, pens, notebooks, paper, crayons, markers, calculators, erasers, binders, rulers, glue, and more are all needed to fill the law enforcement vehicle each day. ASHEBORO N.C. - A local man who fled from house arrest almost a year ago, led Police in Asheboro on a foot chase before being arrested last week.  Jordan Lamar Billings placed on EHA with Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on July 29th, 2021, for multiple charges. According to a press release on December 7th, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers received information that Billings monitoring device was not charged, leading them to discover that Billings had let the bracelet go dead, cut it off, and left it in a mailbox.  The Sheriff’s Office obtained an Order for Arrest for Billings for Violation of Pre-Trial Conditions of Release/EHA. Detour Instructions EntranceThe entrance to the Wal-Mart parking lot has not changed. Drivers can enter where they normally would. ExitTo exit the parking lot use alternate on the east side of the parking lot near Burkes Outlet. Chick-fil-ATo reach Chick-fil-A use the entrance to Wal-Mart and after entering make a U-turn in the main parking lot and head out the normal exit until signs direct you off to the right to go through another parking lot to reach Chick-fil-A's parking lot from the rear.
