Multiple Fire Departments Working Fire at Worthville Mill in Randleman

RANDLEMAN N.C. - Fire crews from across Randolph County are working to control a fire at the old Worthville Mill on Russell Walker Ave in Randleman as well as a woods fire near Worthville Beach.
At 3:57 p.m. fire crews from several departments were dispatched to the Worthville Mill, located at 216 Russell Walker Ave in Randleman for a commercial structure fire.
The three-story mill, which has been abandoned for several years, was fully involved. Randolph County Emergency Services reports that around twelve departments are on scene currently. Units are also working to control a woods fire near Worthville Beach, believed to have been started as a result of the fire at the mill.
