Fugitive From Randolph County Captured by Bondsman In West Virginia

ASHEBORO N.C. – A Randolph County man wanted for escaping house arrest was located in West Virginia this week where he was captured by a local bail bond company.

According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on April 28th, 2022, the Electronic House Arrest Officers received notification that Jerry Allen Harlow, Jr. had removed his monitoring device. Harlow was placed on electronic house arrest on September 10th, 2020, for multiple Felony Sex Offenses.

Deputies responded and were able to locate the monitoring device along the roadway near Harlow’s registered address on Harlow Rd., in Archdale. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate Harlow.

An Order for Arrest was issued for Violation of Pretrial Conditions of Release/EHA and a Warrant was issued for Interfering with Electronic Monitoring Device. Later, orders for arrest were issued for three counts Failure to Appear on a Felony.

On May 22, 2022, agents of Shaw Bonding located Harlow in West Virginia and transported him back to the Randolph County Jail and surrendered his bond. A moment Shaw Bonding captured and shared on their Facebook page.

He was also served the outstanding processes and the magistrate issued a $ $1,300,001 secured bond. A first appearance was set for May 23, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
