Former UGCS Administrator/Local Pastor Sentenced For Sex Crimes with Student

ASHEBORO N.C. – A local pastor and former christian school administrator was convicted in a Davidson County Court this week of sexual activity with a student dating back to 2008.

On Friday, June 7th 2019, a detective with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office meet with a victim from a 2009 investigation. The former student, now an adult, re-reported allegations of a sexual assault that they had made several years prior when they were a student at Union Grove Christian School (UGSC) in Lexington.

Accord to a information from a now released search warrant, investigators say that between August of 2008 and May of 2009, Jason Wesley Keller, who at the time was the acting Elementary School Principal at UGCS, engaged in sexual relations with a high school student 10 times over a one-year period.

Armed with new information from the victim the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office obtain several indictments from the Gard Jury and issued a warrant for the arrest of Keller for 10 counts of sexual activity with a student.

Keller was arrested in July of 2019 by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office at him home in Pfafftown. He was issued a $1 Million Dollar secured bond.

Now over 2 years later, on Wednesday June 15th 2022, a jury found Jason Wesley Killer guilty on multiple felony counts of sexual activity with a student, according to court records from the Davidson County Courthouse. Keller was sentenced to five consecutive 10-12 month sentences (totaling 4-5 years), followed by 3 supervised probation sentences.

Freedom Family Church Website (June 15th 2022)

On June 15th 2022 Jason Keller was listed as a staff member on the website of the Freedom Family Church in Liberty, NC, which said he joined the church in 2009. By June 16th 2022, Keller had been removed from the staff page of the website. At the time of publication Freedom Family Church has not responded to an email requesting more information.

When we contacted UGCS to request dates of employment for Keller at the School a representative said those records were not available before quickly hanging up the phone.
