One Killed, Three Seriously Injured After Head-On Crash in Trinity

ASHEBORO N.C. – A fatal head-on crash on Finch Farm Road in Trinity last night claimed the life of an 18-year-old and sent three others to the hospital with serious injuries.

At 9:10 p.m. on Monday, August 29th, 2022, the State Highway Patrol responded to the report of a crash that occurred on Finch Farm Road near Saddle Club Drive in Randolph County.

According to a press release from the North Carolina Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Emily Jane McAllister of Trinity, was traveling north on Finch Farm Road in a 2004 Acura TSX when she traveled left of center and struck a Ford Escape traveling in the opposite direction head-on.

McAllister suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to Moses H. Cone hospital in Greensboro.

Sidney Brittian Langston, 18, of Trinity, NC, a front seat passenger in McAllister’s vehicle during the crash, died on-scene.

Both McAllister and Langston were unrestrained during the collision. The driver of the Ford Escape, and a 14-year-old child passenger, suffered serious injuries and were transported to Moses H. Cone hospital in Greensboro.

The Highway Patrol says the investigation is ongoing and that charges are pending.
