ASHEBORO N.C. – Two juveniles were found occupying a stolen car that was involved in a chase with police earlier this week.
According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department on Aug 9th 2022, just after 2am in the morning, an officer attempted to pull over on S Fayetteville St near Lanier Ave. Police say that vehicle was reported stolen and linked to an attempted vehicle left.
A brief chase through the back streets of Asheboro occurred and when the vehicle was stopped officers found two juveniles in the car. Police released the juveniles back to their parents, but plan to seek juvenile petitions against them at a later date.
This incident comes just a few weeks after officers with the Asheboro Police Department responded to a call about an armed person which ended in a chase of a juvenile who was reported missing and who was carrying a gun.
