ASHEBORO N.C. - A suspect led Asheboro police on a brief chase before crashing into several vehicles at a local auto repair shop and fleeing the scene earlier this week.  According to a report from the Asheboro Police Department, in the early morning hours of November 15th, 2023, at around 2:30 a.m., an officer on patrol attempted to pull over a silver in color passenger car on E Presnell St. Police say the driver failed to stop leading to a short vehicle chase.  That chase ended after the driver lost control and crashed into several vehicles at Goldston’s Auto Repair on Gold Hill Rd. In a press release the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says that on September 22nd, 2023, a deputy attempted to pull over a motorcycle on Turnpike Rd., in Archdale, but the driver failed to stop leading to a pursuit. In the early morning hours of September 3rd, 2023, a deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s was patrolling on US Hwy 220 S, near Asheboro, when they spotted a motorcycle with no license plate that shut off its lights off and made a turn on Crestview Church Rd. ASHEBORO N.C. - A suspect allegedly driving a stolen vehicle tried to flee from police earlier this week but ended up crashing into a truck and being arrested. On August 29th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, who were tracking a vehicle reported stolen out of Lexington that had entered Randolph County. SEAGROVE N.C. - One person was arrested after a short vehicle chase ended in a crash in Seagrove last week. According to J. Auman Chief of Police for the Seagrove Police Department, just after 2 p.m. on July 17th, 2023, while on patrol in the town, he ran a tag on a vehicle that came back as ficticious. Chief Auman says when he attempted to pull over the driver on Little River Road near Boone Farm Rd, the suspect failed to yield, leading to a brief vehicle pursuit. On June 18th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to High Pine Church Rd, in Asheboro, for a report of a stolen vehicle. A 911 caller was the victim and was following the stolen vehicle, providing police with a direction of travel. According to a press release, on June 3rd, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a small black SUV traveling east bound on US Hwy 64 E. at a high rate of speed, on the wrong side of the road. On April 22, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says their deputies were involved in a vehicle chase and manhunt in Trinty. According to a press release, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Finch Farm Rd., in Trinity.
