No Injuries in Early Morning House Fire off MLK in Asheboro

ASHEBORO N.C. – No one was injured in a house fire early this morning off Martin Luther King Jr Dr in Asheboro.

At 3:30 am, on May 9th, 2023, officers with the Asheboro Police Department reported a house fire at 625 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Firefighters with the Asheboro Fire/Rescue Department were dispatched and arrived on scene at 03:34 am.

Initial reports indicated that there may have been people inside the residence, however a search determined that no one was inside the structure.

According to Samantha East, Fire and Life Safety Educator, and Public Information Officer for the Asheboro Fire/Rescue Department 6 units with eighteen personnel from the department were able to extinguish the fire by 03:57 am.

No Injuries were reported. The extent of the damage is unknown, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
