ASHEBORO N.C. - One person was arrested in Trinity after a 911 caller reported a breaking and entering in progress and police arrived to find the suspect attempting to break into another home. On December 10, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Koonce Dr., in Trinity, for a call about a suspicious person. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, while enroute, another caller reported a breaking and entering in progress in the same area. The caller told officials that a white male subject had attempted to enter the residence, buildings, and had entered a vehicle. ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people were arrested last week near the Randolph County Agricultual Site for allegedly stealing telephone wire in the area. Last week, on December 8th, 2022, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office were patrolling on US Hwy 64 E, just outside the Asheboro city limits when they observed a vehicle pulling out from a trail that leads to the future site of the Randolph County Agricultural Center. According to the Sheriff's Office deputies were aware that there had been several larcenies reported in the area in recent months, including recent theft of telephone wire. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office announced several charges against a local man related to an intentional fire set at a DMV office and deputies didn't have to go far to find him as he was already in jail accused of stealing a car. On November 24, 2022, at around 5 pm, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Office on US Hwy 220 Bus. S., Asheboro, after receiving a call about breaking & entering and larceny. ASHEBORO N.C. - A vehicle accident yesterday evening in Randleman on US 220 Business left one dead. On December 11, 2022, at approximately 6:24 p.m., officers with the Randleman Police Department responded to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on US 220 Business N near Sibbett Street. The pedestrian, Christopher Dale Hicks, 38, of Randleman, was struck by a 2014 Honda CR-V. According to a press release from the Randleman Police Department, the driver was traveling south on US 220 Business when Hicks walked into the roadway and was struck by Dobbins’ vehicle. Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene. No Charges will be filed.

ASHEBORO N.C. - Police in Asheboro investigating a possible vehicle break-in at a local apartment complex found themselves in a vehicle chase. Now police are asking for information from the public to help identify the suspects as well as solve a string of vehicle break-ins. On November 30th, 2022, at around 3 am an officer from the Asheboro Police Department was patrolling in the 2100 block of North Fayetteville Street.
