ASHEBORO N.C. – The city of Asheboro has announced its third Annual Gifting Tree Project, and registration is underway for a limited number of trees. Organized by the City of Asheboro's Cultural & Recreation Services, the Gifting Tree Project transforms Bicentennial Park into a dazzling Christmas tree display. Local families, schools, and organizations decorate their trees in a competition to win a donation (provided by Modern Toyota) to the nonprofit of their choice. Want to participate? From Friday, November 10, through Sunday, November 12, the baseball field at South Asheboro Middle School will once again be transformed into the Field of Honor with 500 U.S. flags posted in perfect rows and columns in tribute of heroes.
