Bomb Threat Closes Ramseur Dollar General Early

Photo provided by Dollar General RAMSEUR N.C. - Earlier this week a bomb threat closed the Dollar General in Ramseur early and now police are asking anyone with information to contact them. On July 10th, 2023, Ramsuer Police and first responders were dispatched to the Dollar General Store located at 6493 Jordan Rd. According to police, an unknown subject called into the store requesting to speak with the manager who they told there was a bomb in a specific area of the store. Employees evacuated the store and called 911. Multiple searches of the store were conducted by officers and nothing suspicious was located. The business closed early due to the incident. Anyone who has any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Sgt Cox or Detective Zogopoulos.

A Sheriff's Deputy walks into the Africa entrance at the NC Zoo after a bomb threat triggered an evacuation. Monday morning at approximately 10:45 am, emergency crews were called to the Zoo after receiving a report of a bomb threat. An evacuation took place of all guests, including several field trip groups visiting the zoo today. Guests who spoke to reporters say they were asked to leave due to a "security incident". ASHEBORO N.C. - Wheatmore Middle School was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after the school discovered a potential threat to the safety of the school written on the wall of a bathroom. On February 1st, 2023, at 2 PM, Wheatmore Middle School's principal, Dr. Bruce Carrol sent out a phone message to parents saying that the school had to be evacuated due to a threat to the safety of the school.
