ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office says a recent narcotics investigation in Seagrove led to the seizure of eight pounds of cocaine and the arrest of one suspect. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, on September 11, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Cocaine in the Seagrove area ofRandolph County. That investigation led to Detectives locating and seizing approximately eight pounds of Cocaine and arrested Octavius Cornelius Spinks at a residence on Osborne Mill Rd. TRINITY N.C. - A search warrant issued as a part of a joint investigation located nearly 30,000 Fentanyl pills at a home in Trinity and landed one person in jail. On August 9th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Unit and Criminal Interdiction Team, Asheboro Police Department’s Vice Unit, and the Department of Homeland Security's Investigation division (HSI), executed a search warrant on a residence located at 6503 Bellawood Dr. in Trinity. According to a press release, that search located approximately 28,400 Fentanyl pills that weighed approximately 12.5 pounds, along with U.S. Currency. As a result, Robert Gurung was arrested and transported to Randolph County Jail where the magistrate found probable cause for the multiple felony drug and trafficking charges. ...

ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people were arrested and are now facing multiple felony drug trafficking charges after deputies located drugs on a traffic stop leading to an investigation that located more drugs and guns in a camper. On June 30th, 2023, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Mack Rd. in Asheboro. During a search of the vehicle the Sheriff's office says they located and seized approximately 4 ½ of Methamphetamine as well as Suboxone, Oxycodone and two firearms, according to a press release. The driver of the vehicle, identified by the Sheriff's Office as Evan Baker, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment following the traffic stop and investigators were able to obtain warrants for Baker's arrest. ASHEBORO N.C. - A Randleman woman is facing multiple felony drug charges in two separate cases from last month according to the Sheriff's Office. On March 21st, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team, assisted by the Vice and Narcotics Division, initiated a traffic stop on I-73 in Randleman. According to a press release, a vehicle driven by Tracey Canoy Corum was pulled over, a search was conducted, and a trafficking amount of heroin was located, along with amphetamine and US currency. Corum was transported to the Randolph County Jail where probable cause was found for the charges of two counts felony trafficking in heroin, as well as other drug charges. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office announced that an investigation into meth distribution in Randleman led to them seizing a large quantity of drugs and charging a local man with multiple counts of felony trafficking. According to a press release, on May 10th 2022, detectives, along with the Criminal Interdiction Team, executed a search warrant at a home on Cecil Norman Rd. in Randleman. According to the Sheriff's Office during that search warrant detectives located and seized approximately 315.5 grams of Heroin, approximately 2,101.1 grams (4.6 pounds) of Methamphetamine, approximately 74.8 grams of Cocaine, approximately 338 grams of Marijuana and approximately 10.3 grams of Mushrooms. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on March 11th, 2021, deputies with the Sherriff's Offices Highway Criminal Interdiction Team pulled over a vehicle on I-85 in Trinity that was registered out of Texas. At some point during the stop, deputies searched the vehicle and say they discovered approximately 2,376.5 grams (5.2 pounds) of Cocaine and US Currency.
