ASHEBORO N.C. — Video evidence led to the arrest of a suspect attempting to report his car stolen after fleeing from police, according to the Sheriff’s Office. On March 25th, 2024, at around 9 p.m., a Deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over a vehicle near the intersection of Kamerin St. and Caudle Rd. in Randleman. According to a press release, that vehicle quickly turned into a driveway, turned off its headlights, and jumped out of the driver's door and fled on foot behind the residence. The Sheriff’s Office says there was a short foot pursuit, but the officer returned to the vehicle to check for passengers and call-in backup. ASHEBORO N.C. - A local man who fled from house arrest almost a year ago, led Police in Asheboro on a foot chase before being arrested last week.  Jordan Lamar Billings placed on EHA with Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on July 29th, 2021, for multiple charges. According to a press release on December 7th, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers received information that Billings monitoring device was not charged, leading them to discover that Billings had let the bracelet go dead, cut it off, and left it in a mailbox.  The Sheriff’s Office obtained an Order for Arrest for Billings for Violation of Pre-Trial Conditions of Release/EHA. ASHEBORO N.C. - A High Point Man is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police.  According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on May 3, 2021, a Deputy tried to pull a vehicle over on S. Main Street in Archdale. The driver, who was later identified as Evan Dale Parrish, keep driving and police began a pursuit. When Parrish approached the intersection of N. Main St. and NC Highway 62, he attempted to make a left turn onto Trindale Road, lost control of his vehicle, and collided with several vehicles in the Southbound lanes. Once Parrish regained control he continued to travel north on Main Street towards High Point.
