Sheriff’s Office Taking Applications for Junior Sheriff’s Academy

ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is taking applications for its annual Junior Sheriff’s Academy scheduled for three, one-week, sessions this summer as well as a special one-day camp for student with special needs.
The Junior Sheriff’s Academy is offered by the School Based Programs Division of the Sheriff's Office. The program is designed for middle school and high school students, between the ages of 12 and 15, that may be interested in a career in public service such as Law Enforcement, Fire, and/or EMS.
Students will experience teamwork, peer mentoring, discipline, leadership building skills, K-9 demonstrations, crime scene investigation, rappelling and more.
