Missing Juvenile With Gun Arrested In Asheboro After Running From Police

ASHEBORO N.C. - Earlier this week officers with the Asheboro Police Department responding to a call about an armed person ended up chasing a juvenile who was reported missing who was carrying a gun. On July 24th 2022, officer were dispatched to Martin Luther King Jr Dr in Asheboro after 911 received a call about an armed juvenile suspect in the area. When officers arrived they located a male juvenile suspect, who due to their age remains unnamed, in front of Harrison St. According to a police report, when the responding officer saw the suspect they were aware they had been reported missing. Human Remains Found In Randolph County Identified

Randolph County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle (Stock Photo/Acme News Archive) ASHEBORO N.C. - Human remains found in Randolph County earlier this year have been identified as a missing 34 year-old Asheboro man. Michael Dwayne Wilkerson, age 34, was last seen by family on September 15th, 2011, in the area of Burney Road and New Hope Church Road in Asheboro.. Police say they located a wrecked pickup truck that same day which had Wilkerson's cell phone in it but there was no one in or around the totaled truck. The Sheriff's Office says the last call made on that cell phone wasphone had been made about 2:30 am. ASHEBORO NC - A mother and her three children are safe today after being located in Wayne county following a statewide Amber alert. On Monday, July 19, 2021, at just before 4 PM officers from the Asheboro Police Department were dispatched to 2421 North Meadows Loop about a missing person. Olga Diego Hernandez’s family told officers they hadn’t seen her in approximately two months but within the past two days, they and other family members had received text messages from her which caused them to become concerned for her and the three children that were with her.
