ASHEBORO N.C. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month a North Asheboro Park that left a 16-year-old in critical condition, according to the Asheboro Police Department. On May 3rd, as officers were responding to a report of shots fired in the area of North Asheboro Park on Canoy Drive, a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the jaw/neck was brought to the Emergency Room at Randolph Hospital by vehicle. An investigation by Detectives identified another 16-year-old male as the suspect, but police were unable to locate that suspect, until today. ASHEBORO NC – An overdose call Saturday morning led to Liberty Police finding 3 people deceased, 2 more taken to an area and hospital, and a Greensboro man being charged in connection to the deaths. According to a press release from the Liberty Police Department, Liberty Police, Fire and Randolph County EMS were called to Johnson's Mobile Home Park on W Moffitt Ave on Saturday October 16, 2021, after receiving a call about 3 unresponsive persons. When they arrived they found 3 individuals who were deceased and another 2 individuals police described as very ill. Those two persons were treated at Chatham Hospital and later released. On May 22nd, 2021 we reported that the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) had confirmed they had opened an investigation into allegations of misconduct made against Sheriff Seabolt. The investigation was requested on May 5th by Randolph County District Attorney Andy Gregson. Gregson said he received complaints that Sherriff Seabolt was using a county-issued vehicle to haul campaign signs. ASHEBORO NC - A mother and her three children are safe today after being located in Wayne county following a statewide Amber alert.  On Monday, July 19, 2021, at just before 4 PM officers from the Asheboro Police Department were dispatched to 2421 North Meadows Loop about a missing person.  Olga Diego Hernandez’s family told officers they hadn’t seen her in approximately two months but within the past two days, they and other family members had received text messages from her which caused them to become concerned for her and the three children that were with her.   Detectives from the department’s Criminal Investigations Division opened an investigation and learned Olga Diego Hernandez was possibly in Wayne County, NC. ASHEBORO NC - A multi-agency drug bust led to a Randleman home being searched ending with two individuals in federal custody. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office, deputies with the Vice and Narcotics Division assisted by the Winston Salem Police Department, Asheboro Police Department, Randleman Police Department, NC State Bureau of Investigation and US Drug Enforcement Administration concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Methamphetamine in the Randleman area. On March 16th, 2021, Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Sunset Drive in Randleman where they say they seized approximately 2.5 pounds of Fentanyl, 10.3 pounds of Methamphetamine, 12,601 dosage units (9.2 pounds) of Amphetamine, 52,152 dosage units (28.7 ...
