No Serious Injuries after Multiple Accidents Closed I-73/74 Monday Night

According to a post by Westside Fire & Rescue on Facebook, at 5:44 p.m. on Monday, November 27th, 2023, emergency crews responded to assist Highway Patrol after debris fell off of a truck on Interstate 73/74 south, near Vision Drive. When the first units arrived, they located a four-vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of I-73/74 at Spero Rd with only minor injuries. Unknown Situation Causing Delays on I-73/74

[Scott Pelkey | North State Journal] ASHEBORO N.C. - An unknown situation is causing delays on I-73/74 near Asheboro as police investigate. At around 5:40 p.m. on July 22nd, 2023, emergency crews responded to I-73/74 Southbound, near the Pineview exit, for an injured person in the roadway. One person was transported from the scene with critical injuries to a local trauma center. Investigators are on the scene now and traffic delays are expected in the area. This is a developing story. Pedestrian Struck and Killed on I-73 Identified by SHP

ASHEBORO N.C. - A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle and died on scene on I-73 last Friday has been identified by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. At 9:36 p.m. on Friday, November 18 th , 2022, the State Highway Patrol responded to the report of a crash that occurred on I-73 southbound near Pineview Road in Randolph County. Nestor Aroldo Oliveros Ramos, 41, of Lexington, N.C., was traveling as a pedestrian west across I-73 when he was struck by an SUV traveling south. The driver was unable to avoid the pedestrian and Ramos died on scene. Investigators believe that Ramos was under the influence of alcohol when he was struck. Delays on I 73-74 After 3 Car Accident

(Scott Pelkey / Acme News) ASHEBORO NC (ACME NEWS)- Motorist should expect delays on I 73-74 near Pineview and on US 220 on the north side of Asheboro. A minor 3 car accident closed the northbound lanes of I 73-74 at the Pineview exit. All traffic was detoured off onto Pineview st and down to N Fayetteville st causing congestion on the road as far down as Vision Dr. Emergency crews cleared the scene moments ago but lingering traffic may still be causing delays.
