ASHEBORO NC – A Thomasville man is in jail facing multiple felonies after police say he shot into a home with several people inside.
On August 12, 2021, at approximately 10:34 pm, the Randolph County Sheriff’s responded to a report of shots fired into a home on Old Mountain Rd. in Trinity. When deputies arrived, witnesses told them that someone had fired several shots into a home while several people were inside. Police say based on witnesses and information they obtained they were able to identify two suspected suspects.
James Marcus Hester, III, was arrested at his home and transported to the Randolph County Jail where he was charged with four counts Felony Assault with Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill or Inflict Serious Injury, Misdemeanor Contributing to the Delinquency of Juvenile. The other suspect identified as a juvenile, was taken into custody and remanded to a local Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing. Hester was given a $60,000 secured bond plus Electronic House Arrest if bond is met. His first appearance was today in Randolph County District Court.
