ASHEBORO NC – A man is facing dozens of felony charges after he was arrested in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins across Randolph County.
According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office they received multiple calls during the first few weeks of August about vehicle break-ins in the Trinity, Thomasville and north-west Asheboro areas. They say their investigation led them to charge Franklin Lee Allen for 19 Counts of Felony Breaking or Entering into a Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny of Firearm, Felony Possession of Stolen Firearm, 10 Counts of Misdemeanor Larceny, and 10 Counts of Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Allen on October 8, 2021 with the help from the Community Resource Deputies at a residence on Evans Road in Trinity. Allen was taken before the magistrate at the Randolph County Jail who issued him a $25,000.00 Secured Bond and set a first appearance for October 11th , 2021, in Randolph County District Court.
Sheriff Office officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
