ASHEBORO N.C. – Four people have been charged after the Asheboro Police Departments Vice Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant on a home on N Elm St last month.
Sometime in early January, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics unit say there were able to make a controlled purchase of crack cocaine using a confidential informant at a home on N. Elm St. Using evidence from that purchase police were able to obtain a search warrant for the home on Jan 13th 2022.
On January 14th 2022, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics and Special Enforcement Team, executed that search warrant. Police say they located and seized marijuana, suspected crack cocaine, a handgun, as well as various drug paraphernalia including digital scales, plastic baggies, and smoking devices.
Lisa Diane Duncan was arrested at the scene and charged with PWISD Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Maintain in a Place of Dwelling CS. Duncan was taken to the Randolph County Jail given a $5,000 unsecured bond and was set to appear in Randolph County District Court this morning. Duncan is also facing charges for driving with license revoked, driving without insurance, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, and DUI, all unrelated to the search warrant.
Police also secured criminal summons against Kristi Jo Moss Hodge and another individual after they say they located drug paraphernalia on their person. Hodge is scheduled to appear in Randolph County District Court on February 14th 2022 and was set to appear this morning on multiple pending charges in Chatham county for Larceny, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny and possession of a stolen vehicle, and resisting arrest. A criminal summons for William Ray Martin was also obtained for possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of schedule VI. Martin, the owner of the home is also facing local ordinance violations, according to court records.
