ASHEBORO N.C. – The Asheboro Fire Department is congratulating some its own after announcing several promotions on it’s Facebook Page.
Captain Robert Caviness (Engine 13-C)
Promoted To: Senior Captain
Senior Captains act as company officers, directing the day to day operations of their assigned company, leading their crew to achieve tactical objectives on multi-company incidents, and acting as incident commander on single-company incidents or in the absence of the Battalion Chief. Senior Captains also act as relief shift commander in the absence of the Battalion Chief.
Engineer Robert Hurley (Tower/Rescue 1-B)
Promoted To: Captain
Captains act as company officers, directing the day to day operations of their assigned company, leading their crew to achieve tactical objectives on multi-company incidents, and acting as incident commander on single-company incidents or in the absence of the Battalion Chief.
FF2 Austin Parks (Engine 13-C)
Promoted To: Engineer
Engineers are responsible for driving and operating the apparatus of their assigned company. In addition to operating apparatus on scene, they complete any assigned fireground tasks as a small team leader or member. They also act as relief officers in the absence of their Captain.
