ASHEBORO N.C. – The Asheboro Municipal Golf Course has announced that registration has now open for its annual youth golf lessons as well as the date for it’s upcoming Junior Amateur Golf Tournament.
Youth Golf Lessons
The lessons are open to any youth golfer between 6 and 14 years of age. Participants will be able to choose between two sessions.
- Session one will be held June 16th, 22nd and 23rd
- Session two will take place on July 12th, 19th and 21st.
Lessons are offered from 8:00am – 9:30am each day. The cost for each session is $15 for city residents with a current Rec-Card or $20 for non-residents.
All participants need to pre-register at the Asheboro Cultural & Recreation Services office, located at 241 Sunset Avenue in downtown Asheboro or pre-register online here . Pre-registration is required as space is limited.

Junior Amateur Golf Tournament
The Asheboro Municipal Golf Course also announced today that they will be hosting the annual Junior Amateur Golf Tournament on August 6th and 7th, 2022.
The tournament is open to any junior golfer between 7-18 years of age. Participants will be divided into three age divisions that will be determined based on the number of entrants. The entry fee is $25 for all players, which includes two rounds of golf (the number of holes in each round will be proportional to each age group) and winning trophies.
All participants need to register in advance at the Asheboro Cultural & Recreation Services office, located at 241 Sunset Avenue in downtown Asheboro. Participants can also pre-register online at https://asheborocrs.recdesk.com/Community/Program.
Deadline to register is Wednesday, August 3rd at 5:30pm.
