ASHEBORO N.C. – Asheboro Police served a search warrant at an apartment complex this month that led to them locating drugs, a gun, and landed two people in jail.
According to a police report on February 15th, 2023, officers with the department’s VICE & Narcotics unit and the Special Enforcment Team conducted a search warrant for apartment 205 at the Sunset Place Apartments.
Police say they seized 13.1 grams of cocaine and an MP-25 handgun during the search.
As a result of that warrant, Jeffrey Price was taken to the Randolph County Jail where he was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a felon and given a $70,000 secure bond.
Price is scheduled for a first appearance today in Randolph County court.
Police said during the search Peggy Bellow was also at the apartment however, she wasn’t arrested until the following day after detectives secured warrants. Bellow was taken to the Randolph County Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a felon. She was given a $45,000 secured bond and is also set to appear in Randolph County court today.
