ASHEBORO N.C. – Two people were arrested and are now facing multiple felony drug trafficking charges after deputies located drugs on a traffic stop leading to an investigation that located more drugs and guns in a camper.
On June 30th, 2023, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Mack Rd. in Asheboro. During a search of the vehicle the Sheriff’s office says they located and seized approximately 4 ½ of Methamphetamine as well as Suboxone, Oxycodone and two firearms, according to a press release.
The driver of the vehicle, identified by the Sheriff’s Office as Evan Baker, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment following the traffic stop and investigators were able to obtain warrants for Baker’s arrest.
On July 6th, 2023, a search warrant was executed on a camper in which Baker was residing, along with a female identified by the Sheriff’s Office as Henrietta Summer Parker. Detectives say they located and seized approximately 3 ½ additional pounds of Methamphetamine, a Trafficking amount of Heroin, Alprazolam, marijuana, and an additional firearm.
Both individuals were in the camper at the time of the search and were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
In total, from the search of the vehicle at the traffic stop and the search of the camper, the Sheriff’s Office says they seized:
- 8.5 pounds of Methamphetamine
- 42.3 grams of Heroin
- 61 dosage units of Suboxone
- 395.2 grams (0.8 lbs) of marijuana
Henrietta Summer Parker was arrested after being released after medical treatment and taken to the Randolph County Jail where she was charged with multiple drug related felonies and was given a $75,000 secured bond.

On July 8, upon release from the hospital, Evan Lee Baker was transported to the Randolph County Jail where he was charged with multiple drug related felonies as well as other charges related to possession of a firearm by a felon and traffic crimes and infractions. He was given a $300,000 secured bond.
