RANDLEMAN N.C. - A Virginia woman has been arrested and is facing felony trafficking charges after police say the located over eight pounds of heroin in her vehicle. On September 30th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 73/74 in Randleman. According to a press release, during that traffic stop deputies searched the vehicle and say they located and seized approximately 8 ½ pounds of heroin. The suspect, identified by the Sheriff's Office as Lori Kristen Price of Roanoke, VA, was arrested and transported to Randolph County Jail. On August 20th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 85 north near mile marker 109, in Trinity. During that stop, officers say they located approximately forty-four pounds of cocaine in the "trunk area" of the vehicle. ASHEBORO N.C. - Two people were arrested and are now facing multiple felony drug trafficking charges after deputies located drugs on a traffic stop leading to an investigation that located more drugs and guns in a camper. On June 30th, 2023, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on Mack Rd. in Asheboro. During a search of the vehicle the Sheriff's office says they located and seized approximately 4 ½ of Methamphetamine as well as Suboxone, Oxycodone and two firearms, according to a press release. ASHEBORO N.C. - A traffic stop by the Asheboro Police Department's Special Enforcment Team (SET), lead to the arrest of an Asheboro man on drug trafficking charges last week. On Thursday May 4th, 2023, Officers with the Asheboro Police Department's Special Enforcement Team (SET) along with officers from the Vice/ Narcotics division initiated a traffic stop of a wanted suspect near the intersection of S Cox St and E Salisbury St. According to a police report from the department, as a result of that traffic stop Mr. Timothy Fore was arrested on an outstanding warrant for allowing an unlicensed driver, aid and abet, and driving with license revoked. ASHEBORO N.C. - An investigation into fentanyl by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office resulted to a multi-agency drug investigation leading to a Randolph County man facing felony trafficking charges. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on April 1st, 2022, the Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that police say was operated by Jarvis James Siler. During a search of that vehicle the Sheriff's Office says they found a trafficking amount of Fentanyl and MDMA (the active ingredient in Ecstasy) was seized.
