Asheboro Announces First “Gifting Tree Project”

ASHEBORO, NC – Asheboro’s Cultural & Recreation Services announced they will be holding the 1st annual Asheboro Gifting Tree Project.

“Stroll through Bicentennial Park as it is transformed into a dazzling Christmas tree display. Local businesses, religious organizations, non-profits, schools, service clubs, and individuals/families decorate their tree in a competition to win a donation (provided by Modern Toyota) to the nonprofit group of their choice” said Cultural & Recreation Services in a press release.

If you want to participate the entry fee is $45 and includes one Christmas tree with stand (approximately 6-7 feet tall), an assigned space in Bicentennial Park, and a printed sign indicating the name of your family, school, or organization. Registration is open now through Monday, November 22nd, Cultural & Recreation Services says to register early as there is a limit 20 trees.
