Three Charged In Connection To March Armed Robbery of 311 Biz Center

ASHEBORO N.C. – Two adults and a juvenile have been charged in connection with an armed robbery of the Biz Center on US Hwy 311 in Archdale last month.

On March 25th, 2022, at approximately 6:28 am, deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Biz Center on US Hwy 311 in Archdale. According to the Sheriff’s Department surveillance video showed one black male enter the business followed by two additional black males One suspect robbed a customer of the business of money and a cell phone while the other two suspects pointed a gun to an employee demanding cash and other items. A few seconds later, all three males entered the office, two of which were holding guns and pointing them at the employee, forcing him back into the gaming area to remove all additional cash from the machines.

On April 1, 2022, Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office sought warrants on three subjects. According to a press release the magistrate found probable cause and issued warrants against Cortez Dyshawn Monk, 34, of High Point; Johnmaine Lamont Rogers, 18, of High Point; and a 17-year-old juvenile of High Point.

  • Cortez Dyshawn Monk was charged with felony conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony possession of a firearm by felon, felony larceny of a firearm and felony possession of a stolen firearm.

Monk was located by High Point Police Department on April 13, 2022, He was arrested and transported to the Guilford County Detention Center where he was served the warrants associated with this incident. Monk was denied bond by the magistrate. He was transferred to Randolph County and a court date was set for April 20, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.

  • Johnmaine Lamont Rogers was charged with felony conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Rogers turned himself in to High Point Police Department n April 24, 2022, where he was transported to the Guilford County Detention Center and served the outstanding warrants. He was issued a $75,000 secured bond and a court date was set for June 6, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.

The 17-year-old juvenile was located in High Point on april 4th 2022, where he was charged with felony conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon.
