According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on March 2nd, 2023, the departments Vice and Narcotics Division searched a residence on Sunset View Dr. in Archdale, NC. During the search, detectives located and seized a trafficking amount of Methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia, leading to charges for four individuals. According to police and arrest reports obtained by Randolph News Now, on March 4th, 2023, the Departments VICE/Narcotics unit executed a search warrant at 741 S Church St. Police say they seized 15.1 grams of a white powder that field-tested positive as fentanyl, 22.4 grams of marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia and just over $700 in cash. ASHEBORO N.C. - Last week a manhunt triggered a massive police presence on the 64 Bypass near the Zoo Connector Rd. On March 3rd, 2023, around 5 p.m. deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office observed Steven Wayne Golden, a wanted suspect, on a bicycle on Staley's Farm Rd, near the Zoo Connector and attempted to contact him. Golden attempted to flee on the bicycle but crashed into a guardrail on the bridge before fleeing on foot into a wooded area, leading to a manhunt and a massive police presence in the area. ASHEBORO N.C. - An officer with the Asheboro Police Department who was called to check on two people slumped over in a car at a McDonald's walked up to an oblivious driver to catch her red handed preparing to use drugs. On February 22nd, 2023, just before 6:30 pm, an officer with the Asheboro Police Department was called to the McDonald's at 1436 N Fayetteville St for a report of a male and female slumped over in a vehicle in the parking lot. ASHEBORO N.C. - A suspect who allegedly robbed a McDonalds in Asheboro didn't make it far before being arrested last weekend. According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department, on Sunday, Febuary 19th, 2023, just after 9 pm, officers responded to the McDonalds at 773 W Dixie Dr for a report of a robbery in progress. An employee told officers that a black male wearing white shirt, black hoodie, and blue jeans had entered the business and stolen an unknown amount of cash and they believed the male was armed with a handgun. Officers located a suspect matching the description walking through the parking lot of Arby’s, whom they identified as Jamon Trevon Dixon. Dixon was arrested without incident. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Grand Jury has indicted a local man for multiple felonies involving sexual crimes with a minor. On December 29, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding allegations of sexual offenses involving minors. Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Christopher Lee Clark for two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, two counts felony disseminate obscenity, six counts felony first degree statutory sex offense, and misdemeanor assault on a child under 12 years of age. According to a police report on February 15th, 2023, officers with the department's VICE & Narcotics unit and the Special Enforcment Team conducted a search warrant for apartment 205 at the Sunset Place Apartments. Police say they seized 13.1 grams of cocaine and an MP-25 handgun during the search. ASHEBORO N.C. - A search warrant executed last month by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office found drugs and led to the arrest of one person. According to a press release, on January 20th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division searched a residence at 935 Teresa Way in Asheboro. During the search, detectives located and seized Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Suboxone and items of drug paraphernalia. As a result, Pamela Beth McDuffie was transported to Randolph County Jail where she was booked on multiple felony drug charges. ASHEBORO N.C. - On February 7th, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office announced they had made an arrest in connection with the 2014 murder of Tammy Sellers Holland. Holland, who was found stabbed to death inside her home on October 28, 2014. According to the information from the Sheriff's Office, on the day Holland’s body was discovered, a neighbor who had been attempting to contact Holland went to the residence after work to check on her in person. When Holland didn’t come to the door, the neighbor peered in the window and saw Holland in the living room and called 911. According to the autopsy report released by the N.C.
