Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest In String Of Car Break-Ins

ASHEBORO NC – A man is facing dozens of felony charges after he was arrested in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins across Randolph County. According to a press release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office they received multiple calls during the first few weeks of August about vehicle break-ins in the Trinity, Thomasville and north-west Asheboro areas. They say their investigation led them to charge Franklin Lee Allen for 19 Counts of Felony Breaking or Entering into a Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny of Firearm, Felony Possession of Stolen Firearm, 10 Counts of Misdemeanor Larceny, and 10 Counts of Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods/Property. He Said, She Said – One Arrested In Weekend Stabbing

ASHEBORO NC – According to a police report by the Asheboro Police Department on October 9th officers along with fire and EMS crews were called to 405 Farmer Rd in reference to a stabbing. A couple at the Asheboro apartment each claimed the other had stabbed them. The police report says that the girlfriend had called 911and told police her boyfriend upset that she refused to have sex with him, had jumped on her on the couch and stabbed her in the leg before she wrestled the knife away from him. She stated that he had fled the apartment in a gold truck armed with the knife and that she wasn’t sure if she had stabbed him. Man Arrested For Knapping, Child Abuse, Assault

ASHEBORO NC - A local man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies for kidnapping, child abuse and assault. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office on September 30,th 2021, deputies responded to a report of Assault and Kidnapping that occurred on Pleasant Ridge Rd. in Ramseur. The Sheriff's Office says their investigation, into that incident led to the Deputy obtaining warrants on Travis Lane Parsons for Felony First Degree Kidnapping, Misdemeanor Assault on a Female, and Misdemeanor Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Vehicle Chase End In Crash On Hwy 62

According to information from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on October 2, 2021, a deputy tried to pull over a vehicle on Hwy 311 near Shean Dr in Archdale. Police say the driver immediately sped off starting a vehicle pursuit. The chase left 311 on to Tom Hill Rd then on to Trinity Rd. and NC HWY 62. That's when police say the driver lost control of the vehicle near the 5200 block of NC HWY 62 leaving the roadway and colliding with trees. Two Suspects Facing Murder Charges

ASHEBORO NC – Three people are in jail this morning, two of them facing murder charges in connection with a body that was found in a wooded area in Asheboro earlier this month. According to a press release from the Asheboro Police Department on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at approximately 10:27 PM, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Burns Street for a possible deceased person. Local Man Arrested For Sex Crimes After Runaway Child Found With Him

ASHEBORO NC - A local man is in jail under a one million dollar bond after Investigators with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office say he was found with a missing/runaway child and child pornography. Wanted Suspect Eludes Asheboro Police After Chase

According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department an officer stopped a white Toyota Rav4 at the intersection of Dublin St and Parkview. The officer reported that the driver was known to have a warrant for his arrest. When the officer asked the suspect to step out of the vehicle the suspect instead step off leading officers on a short vehicle chase before bailing out on foot on Kemp Blvd. Officers searched the area but were unable to located the suspect, No injuries were reported.

Suspect Pulled Over Driving Stolen Forklift

According to a press release on September 12th, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Davis Country Rd., after getting a call that a suspect was actively stealing a forklift. ASHEBORO NC - The Randolph County Sheriff's Office announced they made arrest in two cases involving sex crimes against children earlier this month. According to a press release by the Sheriff's Office, the Criminal Investigation Division Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) received information that an individual by the name of Aaron Lee Barrett was possessing/distributing numerous child pornography files. Detectives initiated an investigation and on September 2, 2021, Mr. Barrett was taken into custody. Barrett was charged with ten counts of Felony Second Degree Exploitation of a Minor. ASHEBORO NC - Two men have been arrested for possessing and distributing child pornography following an investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
