Juan-Alberto-Gonzalez-Fuentes According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office, on May 21, 2021, they received a report of allegations of sexual misconduct by Juan Alberto Gonzalez Fuentes. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Randleman Police Department opened a joint investigation which led to them obtaining warrants for the arrest of Mr. Gonzalez Fuentes for three counts of Felony Statutory Sex Offense with a child <= 15 on June 2, 2021. Louie arrived May 25, and he is settling in well to his new habitat. Louie is an 18-year-old male African elephant, born April 30, 2003, at the Toledo Zoo in Ohio. On June 22, 2017, he went to the Omaha Zoo in Nebraska as part of their breeding program. Louie’s move to the North Carolina Zoo is a recommendation from the African Elephant Species Survival Plan (SSP) through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The gradual process of introducing Louie to the Zoo’s herd is already underway. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on May 23, 2021, shortly after midnight, the deputies responded to Oakland Ave in Asheboro after receiving a call about a breaking/entering that had occurred earlier. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, On May 29, 2021, deputies responded to a report of a prowler in the area of Post Rd in Tabernacle. A homeowner had called 911 to report a possible prowler and told police that a man was trespassing on their property and was told to leave.
