"We can now report that we have restarted our entire pipeline system and that product delivery has commenced to all markets we serve. Following this restart, it will take several days for the product delivery supply chain to return to normal. Some markets served by Colonial Pipeline may experience, or continue to experience, intermittent service interruptions during this start-up period. ASHEBORO NC - A local man is facing ten felony charges after a tip to the Sheriff's Office. According to a press release, The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) received information from an international source that an individual by the name of Randall Keith Allen was possessing/distributing numerous child pornography files. That tip started an investigation and on May 4, 2021, detectives seized digital devices from Allen's residence. On May 11, 2021, warrants for Allen’s arrest were obtained for ten counts of Felony Second Degree Exploitation of a Minor. ASHEBORO NC - A man is facing charges for allegedly possessing a stolen firearm and drugs after going through a license checkpoint last Friday. According to the Randolph County Sherriff's office, on May 7, 2021, the Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a license checkpoint on Vision Drive in cooperation with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program. Deputies encountered a subject who they identified as Musin Shaborr Roberts. ASHEBORO NC - Gas stations are struggling to keep gas in stock after a cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline sparked rumors of a shortage leading to panic buying. On Monday, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper signed an Executive Order declaring a state of emergency in North Carolina. The order suspends motor vehicle fuel regulations to guarantee the state has adequate fuel supply. The situation started after a cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline last Friday. ASHEBORO N.C. - A High Point Man is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police.  According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on May 3, 2021, a Deputy tried to pull a vehicle over on S. Main Street in Archdale. The driver, who was later identified as Evan Dale Parrish, keep driving and police began a pursuit. When Parrish approached the intersection of N. Main St. and NC Highway 62, he attempted to make a left turn onto Trindale Road, lost control of his vehicle, and collided with several vehicles in the Southbound lanes. ASHEBORO NC- A Brooklyn man accused of shooting at a stripper in Miami Beach and stealing a car in Maryland was arrested on a traffic stop in Randolph County on Monday. Tremain Christopher Weekes According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on May 3, 2021, the Highway Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on I-85 in Archdale. The driver, Tremain Christopher Weekes of Brooklyn NY, was wanted out of Florida for Failure to Appear for Attempted Murder. ASHEBORO NC - On April 29th, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Highway Criminal Interdiction Team says they pulled over a vehicle on I-74 near Archdale. When officers searched the vehicle they say they located cocaine.Two individuals were arrested and transported to Randolph County Jail where the magistrate found probable cause for charges. Cierra Storm White was charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana up to ½ oz. On April 29th, 2021, at around 3:30 PM, first responders were called to a home on Miles Moffitt Rd. in Asheboro. Radio traffic from Randolph county 911 reported a three-year-old had been struck by a vehicle. Information later released by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office said the child was accidentally injured when an "inexperienced individual was moving a vehicle in the yard and the vehicle made contact with the child before eventually came to a stop after hitting the house causing structural damage." ASHEBORO NC - A woman is recovering from surgery after being shot by her husband in the parking lot of an Asheboro apartment complex.  Barry Lynn Baxter Jr According to information released by the Asheboro Police Department, on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, officers with the Asheboro Police Department were dispatched to Ashewood Circle in reference to a report of a victim with an accidental gunshot wound. Officers found 55-year-old Deneene Lynn Baxter suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid at the scene and the victim was transported to a hospital in Greensboro where she underwent surgery and is recovering.  During the investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot by her husband, Barry Lynn Baxter, Jr., age 40. ASHEBORO NC - The N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has finalized the autopsy report for a four-month-old killed in Randolph County back in November of 2019. On November 9th, 2019 the Guil-Rand Fire Department, Randolph County EMS, and Archdale officers responded to a home in Archdale where they found four-month-old Nevaeh Faith Johnson unresponsive on a mattress. Nevaeh was transported to High Point Regional and then was transferred to Brenner Children’s Hospital where she was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. Nevaeh would later be pronounced dead on November 12th, 2019. An autopsy was conducted on Nov. 14th, 2019.
