Two Arrested In Asheboro Homicide

Photo from Moore County GIS ASHEBORO NC - After a homicide over the weekend in Asheboro, two people are in jail and authorities are searching for a body in a quarry in Moore county. According to a press release by the Asheboro Police Department, on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at 2:13 AM, Asheboro Police Officers responded to 408 E. Salisbury Street for a subject who had been shot. Officers on scene learned that the crime scene was located at 612 Farr Street in Asheboro. Evidence located at the crime scene lead investigators to believe a violent crime had occurred at the location and began to treat the case as a homicide. Sheriff’s Office Responds To Armed Robbery

According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office, on February 6, 2021, at approximately 8:15 pm, deputies responded to an armed robbery at the GH Mart located at 4960 US Hwy. 220 South. They say a white male subject had entered the business, armed with a long gun and robbed the store at gunpoint. The suspect left on foot walking towards Zoo Parkway. Traffic Stop Finds Fugitive, Guns, Counterfeit Cash

Tevin Kade Guillory ASHEBORO NC - A wanted fugitive out of Louisiana was arrested and faces additional charges. According to a press release on January 21, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 85. Deputies searched the vehicle which led to the seizure of a firearm and counterfeit currency. The passenger of the vehicle, Tevin Kade Guillory, was also found to be a fugitive out of Louisiana. Guillory was placed under arrest and transported to Randolph County Detention Center where he was charged with Felony Possession of 5+ Counterfeit Instrument and Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Suspect In Liberty Shooting Surrenders To Police

LIBERTY NC (RCSO) [ARCHIVED] - On Thursday, January 7, 2021 at approximately 8:30 pm the Liberty Police Department responded to 532 W Swannanoa Ave in reference to a possible shooting. Officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim was airlifted to UNC Hospital, treated and eventually released. Sheriffs Office Arrest Suspect In Connection With Multiple Breaking And Enterings

ASHEBORO NC (RCSO) [ARCHIVED] - On January 5, 2021, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Detectives went to the residence of Julian Glenn Cross following a lead on several breaking and enterings and larcenies. When the detectives arrived at the house they located several items in plain view they believed to be stolen. Cross was arrested for an outstanding warrant for a larceny that occurred in September on Plott Hound Trail in Sophia, for Misdemeanor Larceny and Possession of Stolen Goods. Julian Glenn Cross During the arrest, Cross was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia.
