ASHEBORO N.C. - Late on Friday night deputies responding to a domestic call found themselves in a short vehicle chase that led to one person being arrested. On July 7th, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kemp Mill Rd., Asheboro, in reference to a violation of a Domestic Violence Protective Order, also known as a 50-B. According to information from the Sheriff's Office, the victim who was returning home saw what they believed to be a vehicle belonging to Robert Mitchell Jenkins on the property. The victim stated they had a 50-B Domestic Violence Protection Order in place and that Jenkins also had an outstanding warrant. The victim left and met with deputies in a nearby parking lot. ASHEBORO N.C. — A convicted felon was arrested yesterday in Thomasville in connection with a November assault where the Sheriff’s Office says the he broke into a home, assaulted the victim, and tied them up. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says in a press release that on November 17th 2021, their deputies were called to a home on Pisgah Covered Bridge Rd. in Asheboro after getting a call from a victim who said they had escaped being tied up at the home. The victim stated they knew the suspect and identified him as Kevin Andrew Blue. According to police Blue broke into the home, assaulted the victim and tied them up. ASHEBORO N.C. —A domestic disturbance that started when a Winston-Salem man man rammed another car and stabbed another male ended with him in jail facing attempted murder charges. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office says Wednesday night at approximately 9:00 pm, deputies were called to what started out as a vehicle accident where a car had struck a pedestrian on Loflin Hill Road in Trinity. That quickly changed to a domestic situation where one person was armed with a knife. ASHEBORO N.C. - A man is in jail without bond today after police say he tried to attack family members with a knife but was subdued by the victims. That's according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office who said in a press release that on December 9th, 2021, deputies responded to Featherstone Ct., in Trinity, in reference to an armed person. Deputies say when they arrived the victims reported the male had attacked them with a kitchen knife, but that they had been able to subdue him until police arrived. Deputies placed the male whom they identified as William Edward Kuntz, under arrest. EMS responded to evaluate and treat Kuntz and the victims for their injuries. ASHEBORO NC – According to a police report by the Asheboro Police Department on October 9th officers along with fire and EMS crews were called to 405 Farmer Rd in reference to a stabbing. A couple at the Asheboro apartment each claimed the other had stabbed them. The police report says that the girlfriend had called 911and told police her boyfriend upset that she refused to have sex with him, had jumped on her on the couch and stabbed her in the leg before she wrestled the knife away from him. She stated that he had fled the apartment in a gold truck armed with the knife and that she wasn’t sure if she had stabbed him. ASHEBORO NC – A local man is facing felony charges after crashing a car into his ex's car several times and fleeing the scene.The Randolph County Sheriff's Office says on July 11th, 2021, they were asked by Troopers with the North Carolina Highway Patrol to respond to the area of Old Farmer Road and Oakgrove Road, in Asheboro. Troopers were on the scene of an accident/hit-and-run that had occurred earlier during a domestic confrontation. Police say they discovered that the victim’s vehicle had been intentionally struck by a former romantic partner which caused the victim to crash.
