ASHEBORO N.C. - Four people have been charged after the Asheboro Police Departments Vice Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant on a home on N Elm St last month. Sometime in early January, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics unit say there were able to make a controlled purchase of crack cocaine using a confidential informant at a home on N. Elm St. Using evidence from that purchase police were able to obtain a search warrant for the home on Jan 13th 2022. On January 14th 2022, Detectives with the Asheboro Vice/Narcotics and Special Enforcement Team, executed that search warrant. ASHEBORO N.C. - The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Moore County Sheriff's Office used a K9 to locate and arrest a wanted suspect in Seagrove last week. On February 2nd, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Detectives and Criminal Interdiction Team responded to Little Brook Rd. in Seagrove after receiving a request to assist the Moore County Sheriff's Office in locating Corey Tyler Hussey. Hussey was wanted on several outstanding warrants by both agencies, which had been working together on several cases involving Hussey who was accused of committing larcenies in both counties. ASHEBORO N.C. - Asheboro Police Departments VICE/Narcotics unit conducted a search warrant on a home last Wednesday that landed 2 people in jail and located drugs as well as several stolen guns and a stolen vehicle. According to a police report from the Asheboro Police Department on Wednesday Jan 26th 2022 the VICE/Narcotics team along with the Special Enforcement Team (SET) and the Department’s SWAT team conducted a search warrant on a home at 640 Tucker St in Asheboro. Police say they seized suspected cocaine, crack, and marijuana along with two stolen firearms. Police also say they located a stolen vehicle at the home. ASHEBORO NC – Two officers helped a stranded motorist push his car into a parking lot before they ended up arresting him. According to a press release by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on October 14, 2021, one of their deputies and an SBI agent stopped to help a driver whose car had broken down on McDowell Road near the Sherriff's Office. The two officers helped push the vehicle into the parking lot when they say they noticed the driver was under the influence. ASHEBORO NC - On the night of June 15th the Randolph County Sherriff's office arrested one man for allegedly stealing a car and another for trying to destroy evidence. According to a press release, on June 15, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Danny Bell Rd for a report of a stolen car. The victim identified Jesse Lee Thompson as the suspect. At around 11:46 pm, deputies located the stolen car at a house in the Poole Rd. area of Archdale. ASHEBORO NC - An Asheboro man is facing a long list of charges after a traffic stop for a possible DUI where police say they found evidence connecting him to several other crimes in the stolen car he was driving.  According to a press release by the Randolph County Sherriff's Office on May 23, 2021, shortly after midnight, the deputies responded to Oakland Ave in Asheboro after receiving a call about a breaking/entering that had occurred earlier. ASHEBORO NC - A man is facing charges for allegedly possessing a stolen firearm and drugs after going through a license checkpoint last Friday. According to the Randolph County Sherriff's office, on May 7, 2021, the Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a license checkpoint on Vision Drive in cooperation with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program. Deputies encountered a subject who they identified as Musin Shaborr Roberts.
