Just before 5 p.m. Randolph County 911, dispatched an EMS unit to the intersection of N Elm St and Brewer St, in Asheboro, for a standby for a possible gunshot wound. Initial unconfirmed reports indicate that an individual arrived at the Emergency Room suffering from a gunshot wound, which may have occurred at a home near the intersection of N Elm St and Brewer St Police locked down the area where they believe the victim was shot and began a search for a second victim as well as evidence.
